Obituary of Anna Nela Dekker

Passed away peacefully in her home, in Wellandport, Ontario, on Sunday, October 9th, 2022 in her 89th year. Married to and predeceased by Jacob Dekker (2003), he was the love of her life. Married to and predeceased by Aart Berghegen (2015). Anna, also known to many as Anneke, was the dearly loved mother of Margriet (Ted), Grace (Jeff), Jake (Fran), Henry (Sandra), Philip (Sandra), Douglas (Janelle). She was the loving Oma to Rebekah (JP), Alicia (Kevin), Rachelle (Henrie), Jaclyn (Adam), Kristen (Cam), Brenda (Mike), Joshua, Melissa (Brendan) Cassandra (Rob), Scott (Brianne), Adam (Jessica), Amy (Cody), Aaron , Danielle, Mark, Jessica (Scott), Christopher (Katelyn), Samuel (Tracey), Rylie (Zach), Ethan, and Levi. She was great oma to Mikayla, Clara, Simon, Audrey, Lily, Nora, Cohen, Reid, Carter, Lilly, Charlotte, Kendra, Mackenna, Lucas, Hayden, Lincoln, Jacob, Roman, Addison, Kaylie, Emery, Berklee, Kinsley, Austin, Emilia, Juliet, and Margot. Dearly loved by Robert and Rosalie and family. Anneke is also survived by 3 sisters and several in-laws living in Brazil, Netherlands and Canada. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12th at Riverside Christian Reformed Church, 74094 Wellandport Road, Wellandport from 5-8pm. Private family interment will take place. Celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Christian Reformed Church, Wellandport.
