Obituary of Lyle Hunter

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lyle Hunter, at the young age of 44, after a brief battle with cancer on March 6th, 2022. Lyle spent his final hours at home surrounded by loved ones. Lyle is survived by his wife, Kayla Hunter and their children Kenneth, Emily, and Wyatt. Lyle will be missed by his mother Kim Van Caeseele and his (Dad) Serge Fontaine. He was predeceased by his Father Lyle Sr. Hunter. He will be remembered by his brother Chris (Trisha) and sister Candice (Derek). Lyle also leaves behind his closest friend Steveo. Lyle will be greatly missed within the fishing community and how he loved to share his passion for "catching monsters" with everyone. Lyle is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10th from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville.
